How to
prepare for a Dream Home Digital Video Shoot
Is your home ready for its debut on video? Here's
what you need to do to help us make our time filming your home
most effective.
So, you are scheduled to have us come and film one of your listings,
I'm sure you're wondering what you need to do to prepare the home
for the shoot.
Preparing for your home's starring role
Please supply us with a list of the special features
of the home that you would like us to highlight. Also, please
include anecdotal information on how the sellers are using certain
spaces. This can influence how buyers perceive the space and introduce
the idea that they can also do these activities if they lived
in this house. (For example, "the owners relax on the back
patio on the weekends around the fire pit.) We prefer to have
this information a day or so before we shoot. You
can email it to us here.
It goes without saying that the owners should not be home at
the time of the filming. You are welcome to be there but you do
not have to be present, as long as we have access to the home.
You will want to consider staging the home in
preparation for the shoot. This video will establish the buyer's
first impression. Walk around the house, look things over and
ask yourself, "Do I really want THIS to be seen by every
buyer the first time they view this home?"
